Wireless router problems are extremely common. Today a vast majority of households have wireless networks operating. The number of devices connecting to these networks is growing at an alarming speed. We have laptops, pc’s, mobile phones, media servers, games consoles and recently more TVs and DVD players are becoming internet enabled.
The device that manages all these other devices is known as a router and as the article suggests these are responsible for many networking issues. If your iphone won’t connect, your PS3 isn’t recognized this is often down to wireless router problems.
In a recent test we undertook we tried 5 different modem routers and asked them to manage a network of devices including 2 PC’s, 3 Laptops, 2 iPhones, an iPad, a media server, and a sonos music system. Only one of these modem routers was able to cope without causing any wireless router problems.
If you’re experiencing problems with devices connecting to or showing up on your wireless network then, at the least, there is a configuration issue. But just as likely, the router simply isn’t compatible with your more recent purchases.
